As a member of the Marketing Team, the Social Media Coordinator supports Old Yale Brewing’s social media and content initiatives across digital platforms. This role is responsible for assisting with the planning, creation, and execution of engaging brand content while helping maintain a consistent and authentic online presence.

This is a hands-on, creative role ideal for someone looking to grow their experience in content creation, social media, and digital marketing. The Social Media Coordinator works closely with the Marketing Manager and broader Marketing Team to support campaigns, community engagement, and brand storytelling across multiple channels.

This position reports to the Marketing Manager and collaborates with the extended Old Yale Brewing team.

+       Manage Old Yale Brewing’s social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X) across multiple brand accounts (BC & AB)

+       Create, edit, and publish engaging photo and video content including Reels, TikToks, Stories, and static posts

+       Support the development and maintenance of content calendars aligned with campaigns, promotions, and brand priorities

+       Stay up to date on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices while contributing creative content ideas

+       Write captions and social copy that reflect Old Yale Brewing’s tone and brand voice

+       Collaborate with external content creators, influencers, photographers, and videographers as needed

+       Assist with community engagement by responding to comments and messages in a timely and brand-aligned manner

+       Own and execute all social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X) across multiple brand accounts (BC & AB)

+       Help maintain consistency in Old Yale Brewing’s visual identity, tone, and messaging across digital channels

+       Support copywriting needs across blogs, website updates, email marketing, and other digital channels

+       Assist with broader marketing initiatives including campaigns, product launches, promotions, and events

+       Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support marketing initiatives and activations

+       Attend events and on-site activations as needed to capture content and support execution

+       Maintain awareness of liquor laws and regulations to ensure marketing efforts remain compliant

+       Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment

+       Roll up your sleeves and do what’s necessary to get the job done and complete other duties as required within the same scope and level

+       Assist with tracking and reporting on social media and content performance including engagement, reach, and audience growth

+       Use insights and analytics to help improve future content and identify opportunities for engagement

+       Support ongoing efforts to grow Old Yale Brewing’s online community and brand presence

+       1 year of experience in social media, content creation marketing or a similar role

+       Post-secondary diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

+       Experience creating photo and video content for social media and digital platforms considered an asset

+       Understanding of Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook and emerging platforms

+       Experience with Later, Squarespace, and Mailchimp considered to be an asset

+       Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and mobile editing apps considered to be an asset

+       Strong copywriting and storytelling skills

+       Proficient in Microsoft Office

+       Highly organized with strong time management and ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities

+       Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to brand consistency

+       Positive, collaborative approach to work and ability to function effectively as part of a team

+       Serving it Right certification or ability and willingness to obtain one

Some travel is required for this role with adequate notice. Travel may include attending events and visiting our restaurant locations in Abbotsford, BC, and Beaumont, AB. This is a permanent, full-time position at 40 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required to support specific events.
